With inspiration from the novel "Kali Aandhi" by Hindi author Kamaleshwar, Aandhi depicts the story of Aarti Devi as she struggles to balance her professional ambitions with her quest for personal gratification while navigating through the volatile world of Indian politics. While traveling on the campaign trail, Aarti is caught by surprise when she runs into her estranged husband JK, who happens to be the owner of the hotel where she is staying currently. Nine years ago, the call to public service compelled Aarti to eschew her domestic duties & leave her husband & daughter in order to pursue her dreams of becoming a politician. ◾ After their unexpected reunion, Aarti & JK cultivate a tender but awkward relationship as they reminisce about memories from their past & come to realize that they still have unresolved feelings for each other after all these years.
