The origin of the dish is credited to his chief chef, Kakasura Madappa, who had not made any dessert. With time running out, the desperate Madappa began experimenting, wanting to present the King with something unusual. Adding gram flour, ghee and sugar, he made a soft pak (or mixture). This was presented on the royal thali as a hot, fudge like, sweet. The chef was called in and asked what the new dessert was called. He said the first thing that came to his mind - the 'Mysore pak'. And in this way mysore pak was invented. QUICK TIPS:- 1) REMEMBER THE PROPORTION 1 CUP SUGAR , 2 CUP GHEE ( OR YOU MAY USE 1 CUP GHEE OR 1 CUP OIL AS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO) ,1 CUP BESAN , HALF CUP WATER. 2) REMEMBER THE MIXTURE OF OIL AND GHEE SHOULD BE DAMN HOT OR BOILING HOT BEFORE ADDING IN THE GHEE AND SUGAR SYRUP MIXTURE.
